The '55 Mercury Hardtop featured in this years Rumble poster is an original Connecticut Custom!
Owned by Gary Broccoli of West Haven CT, and built by the Bernardo Brothers of Devon, CT, this Kustom features '57 Ford side trim, scooped trunk lid and front fenders, frenched and peaked taillights, front and rear roll pans, lake pipes, Dodge Lancer hub caps and a Restyled front end using a pair of Plymouth pans for the grille cavity. The interior is stitched in black and gold pleated Naugahyde and the body is covered in a Pagent Gold Lacquer. This car was voted by Car Craft Magazine as one of the "Top Ten" Kustoms for 1962!
The car was also featured on the cover of Customs Illustrated November 1960!
